French Pastry Cake Recipe

Ingredients

    * French Pastry Cake
    * 1 cup butter
    * 2 cups sugar
    * 4 eggs
    * 2 squares melted chocolate
    * 1 tsp. vanilla
    * 2 tsp baking soda mixed into 1-1/2 cups buttermilk
    * 2-1/2 cups flour

Directions

   1. 350 oven for 45 minutes for layer cake
   2. about 1 hour for pan cake
   3. Frosting:
   4. 1/2 cup milk
   5. 2 tblsp. of flour
   6. Cook these together until thick, then cool.
   7. add:
   8. 1/2 cup sugar
   9. 1/2 cup shortening
  10. beat until creamy
  11. add:
  12. 3 tblsp of powdered sugar and beat again.
  13. May add more powdered sugar to reach consistency you like.
