AMARETTO CAKE

1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. Amaretto
1/2 c. vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/2 c. water

Grease and flour one 10-inch tube pan. Pour nuts evenly onto bottom of pan. In mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Beat 4 or 5 minutes. Pour into baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Invert on plate, prick top. Make glaze and drizzle over top of cake.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. butter, melted
1/4 c. water
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. Amaretto

In saucepan, combine melted butter with sugar and water. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in Amaretto; drizzle over cake.
