AMARETTO CAKE

1 box yellow cake mix (18 1/2 oz.)
1 (3 3/4 oz.) Jello instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
1 c. water
1/2 c. Wesson oil

GLAZE:

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. amaretto, rum or bourbon

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube or 12 inch bundt pan.

Mix cake ingredients and pour into pan. Bake 1 hour. Test after 45 minutes. Cool in pan. After the cake has cooled in the pan, pour 2/3 of the glaze over it - pricking holes in cake with a fork to help it absorb the glaze. Remove from pan to a serving plate and spoon remaining glaze over cake.

Method for glaze: Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in sugar and water. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add amaretto. Stir.
