AMARETTO CAKE

1 box Duncan Hines Golden Butter Recipe cake mix
1 sm. pkg. pistachio instant pudding
3/4 c. sliced almonds (4 1/4 oz.) pkg.
1/2 c. Mazola oil or Crisco oil
4 eggs
1/2 c. Amaretto
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. water

Grease and flour bundt pan. Sprinkle almonds on bottom and slightly up sides of pan. Mix rest of ingredients together. Beat 2 minutes. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes. As soon as cake comes out of oven punch as many holes as you can with an ice pick. Pour 1/2 of glaze on cake. Then invert cake on plate and spoon rest of glaze over cake.

GLAZE:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. Amaretto
1/4 c. water

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes and add Amaretto. Bake in 12 cup bundt or 2 (6 cup) bundt pans.
