Football Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 package Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devil's Food Cake Mix

1 tub Duncan Hines Creamy Home Style Classic Chocolate Frosting (Choose any of your own choice)

1 tube while glossy decorating gel

Cooking Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour 10-inch round cake pan.

Prepare cake according to package directions for basic recipe.

Bake at 350 F 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cut cake and remove 2-inch slice from center. Arrange cake to resemble football.

Spread chocolate frosting on sides and top of cake.

Make white frosting laces on football, using decorating gel. (optional, can make football of your own choice)

Note: If a 10-inch round pan is not available, make two football cakes by following package directions for baking with two 9-inch round cake pans.
