1 box Duncan Hines cake mix
1 box instant pineapple or lemon pudding
10 oz. Seven-Up
1/2 c. Wesson oil
Mix all ingredients together. Blend well. Bake at 350 degrees until top springs back to the touch. Makes four 8-inch layers.
7-UP CAKE FROSTING (PINEAPPLE OR LEMON):
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 (#2) can pineapple juice or lemon juice
2 eggs
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool slightly and spread on cake while still fairly warm.
